This document outlines the core expectations and responsibilities for everyone participating on OnlyDust, and specifically our open-source week (ODHacks). Our aim is to provide a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment for open source contributors and maintainers alike.
Code of Conduct
1. Respect and Inclusivity
- Treat everyone with kindness, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of offensive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Offer feedback constructively and focus discussions on ideas, not individuals.
2. Fair Participation
- We advise contributors to work on one task per project at a time. If you undertake more than one issue per project, make sure you can deliver.
- Avoid claiming multiple issues simultaneously within the same project to ensure fair opportunities for all.
- Once your current task is complete and reviewed, you may request to be assigned another.
3. Integrity and Learning
- Avoid using AI tools like ChatGPT or other LLMs to solve tasks unless explicitly permitted by the project.
- The purpose of OnlyDust and the ODHacks is to explore, learn, and grow through real contribution—not shortcuts.
- Maintainers are here to support you, and active engagement is encouraged.
Participation Guidelines
Before the ODHack Begins
- All contributors must register on OnlyDust and sign up for the ODHack.
- Registration is essential for communication and task tracking.
